Graduate Grants and Awards

Scholarships

For graduate entrance scholarships, some of which are also available to current graduate students, please see Funding and Awards for Graduates, in the Postgraduate Admissions section.

Senior Scholarships

A number of Senior Scholarships (£350) are awarded annually to students reading for a higher degree at Lincoln College. These are awarded on academic merit, not for financial need.  In addition to the financial award, Senior Scholars may dine free once a week at High Table and may take a privileged place in the graduate accommodation ballot.  Applications are invited, by email, from current students in the Hilary term of each year.

Awards and Prizes

Graduates are awarded a prize of £100 for obtaining a Distinction in the final classification of a graduate degree. An additional award is made to each student awarded a University Prize for distinguished performance.

If you would like to apply for funds please send a letter to the Development Office (c/o Jane Mitchell) listing your specific financial needs, your current studies, and your post-graduation plans.

North American Graduate Hardship Award: Thanks to the generosity of alumni living in the Canada and United States, the College is offering hardship awards to Lincoln graduate students who have financial aid needs not covered by other sources. If you would like to apply for funds please send a letter to the Development  Office c/o Jane Mitchell listing your specific financial needs.

Vivan Green Student Assistance Fund: This Fund provides assistance to students for projects of personal development, and is kindly funded by the generosity of an Old Member. Awards are made at the sole discretion of the Rector.  Details on how to apply for this award will be emailed to Junior Members each term.
