Medical Information

What happens if I am ill?  We hope you will have little of no need to use this information, but just in case.........

The College Doctor
The College requires all students to register with an Oxford Doctor. Our doctor is Dr Drury and her consulting rooms, in the King Edward Street Medical Practice, which is just across the High Street, about two minutes walk from Lincoln.  The paperwork you filled in before your arrival registered you with her practice and provided her with your background health information. If you need to see her or one of her male colleagues, you can make an appointment on 01865 242 657.

UK and EU/EEA students, are entitled to medical care under the National Health Service, including hospital care. Students from outside the EU are also entitled to NHS treatment if they are studying full-time on a course lasting 6 months or more, but must pay the immigration health surcharge as part of their visa application.

If you have a long-term medical condition which is likely to need ongoing support during your time in Oxford, please arrange an appointment with the surgery as soon as possible after arrival. This will help to ensure that all the appropriate arrangements are in place quickly.

The College Nurse
Our Nurse is Victoria Mills; she is available to sort out minor illnesses and injuries where you feel you need some help but do not necessarily need to see a doctor.  She is available every weekday during full term.  You can email her, nurse@lincoln.ox.ac.uk or you can contact her through the Porters' Lodge.
