The
Schools Liaison Officer can often visit schools or colleges to talk to any
Sixth Form students who have the potential to apply to Oxford, or to talk to
younger pupils about the possibility of applying to Oxford. Sessions are
flexible and can cover many different topics.
The format of each visit can be adapted to meet the needs of the
audience, and ideally talks may be given to different year groups on the same
day.
Lincoln
College is proud of the contacts we already have with a wide range of schools
and colleges, and we are especially keen to work with schools without a
history of sending candidates to Oxford.
If you
feel your school or college would benefit from a visit of this kind, please
contact the Schools Liaison
Officer to make arrangements. In general there is a minimum group size of
20 for any talk (there is no maximum), and where possible we encourage schools and
colleges in the same area to join together to host an event. It would be helpful if you could suggest a range of possible dates at this initial stage, and give an indication of the form you would like the visit
to take - for example, if a particular topic is to
be featured, or an additional 'higher education' talk for younger pupils is
required.
