Dr Sarah Cusk

Antiquarian Cataloguer

Sarah has a BA in English Literature from Cambridge  and a PhD in Comparative Literature from Columbia University in New York. She taught Renaissance and Reformation Studies in the History and Literature Department at Harvard before moving away from academia into Special Collections at the Newberry Library in Chicago. Since then she has worked as an antiquarian cataloguer for the National Trust, the National Portrait Gallery, the Bibliotheque Royale in Brussels and St John’s, Oxford; she has also worked in the Department of Books and Manuscripts at Sotheby’s where she valued and catalogued books for the Continental and English Literature and History sales. She is currently cataloguing the early printed books in the Senior Library at Lincoln.
