Travel Grants

General Travel Grants

The College has a limited number of travel grants of £100-£250 to support travel directly connected with an undergraduate's studies or of general educational and cultural value or for charitable purposes. Full details and application forms are circulated each term.

Application forms and references must be returned to the Academic Administrator by noon on Monday of second week of Term.

Modern Linguists

Modern Linguists can apply for a £200 travel grant as well as the standard travel grant. This can be used towards the cost of the year abroad, or for a separate visit to the country whose language is being studied. Students should apply in the same way as for standard travel grants.

The Felicity Brown Fund

The Fund was established in memory of Felicity Brown, a medical student at Lincoln, and it enables a Lincoln student to travel and undertake some charitable work that he or she might otherwise not have been able to afford. Clinical medical students are eligible to apply for this grant to help with travel in their elective period. One grant of £200 is made each year. Students should apply using the application form above, by Monday of second week of Trinity Term.

2027 Medical Award

The 2027 Medical Award is intended to support a medical student undertaking a research project, or extending their medical knowledge in other interesting ways. One award of £500 is made each year.  Students should apply using the application form above, by Monday of second week in Trinity Term.

Senior Tutor's Fund

This fund is maintained by the Annual Fund and provides grants for proposals linked to academic purposes, directly relating to the individual's exam school (e.g. money for going on archaeological dig). It is primarily for undergraduates.  Applications are accepted year round - please contact the Academic Administrator to apply.
