Alumni who would like to visit the library briefly as part of a visit to College or to show the library to family and friends, should contact the Development Office, preferably in advance of their visit. Unfortunately we are unable to show alumni into the library at weekends, visits should be arranged between the hours of 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday.
Please note that the Library is very busy in Trinity Term, and we hope you will understand why we would rather not disturb revising finalists during this time.
Alumni who would like to consult items in the Library collections, should see the information for Visitors.
Please note that we cannot routinely offer access to the Library for alumni, as it functions primarily as an undergraduate workspace. If you have a special reason for wishing to use the Library, or feel your case deserves extra consideration, please contact the Development Office on 01865 287421 or firstname.lastname@example.org
Gifts of volumes have formed an essential part of our accessions, adding to our academic collection and maintaining the College's connections with its past members. We are grateful for the support and donations the library receives from alumni. The Library maintains a special section of books by and about Old Members, and we are always keen to receive books we do not already have.
While the Library is grateful to be remembered, and pleased to receive books, space is now at a premium. With regret, we usually only accept the current editions of academic texts and we are generally unable to accept in their entirety donations that duplicate existing holdings, contain less academic texts, or include books in poor condition. Those thinking of giving books to the Library are very welcome to contact the Librarian in advance to discuss any potential donations. Donors are also welcome to give books on the understanding that the Library may not be able to add all the titles to stock and may then dispose of unwanted material.
Financial donations to support the work of the library, including support for the Senior Library and its preservation and conservation are always welcome. If you are interested in giving to the College Library, please contact the Development Office on 01865 287421 or email the Development Office.
